When I read Tourneau's "Guilt and Grace" I seemed to be led to believe that the reason we fail when Satan is crouched at our door, is because we have already failed at staying in touch with our Savior. We get lax in our prayers, slovenly in our Bible readings, lazy in seeking to be transparent to the Christ that dwells within, and then we feel overwhelmed by our inability to fight off Satan on our own. I owe so much to you in how you have inspired me to read, and so much to God for leading me to read one tremendous treatise after another.
